Feeling overwhelmed by the noise of responsibilities and expectations? Then this is for you.
Just because a message is frequent and loud…doesn’t mean it’s true.
Read that again!
Think about the stories we constantly tell ourselves, like the self-talk that runs on repeat in our minds. These thoughts are designed to protect us, yet they often misguide us toward worst-case scenarios instead of seeing the facts or what’s possible. Yes, our thoughts LIE to us!
Here’s what that might sound like:
- “I’m failing at balancing everything! I can’t keep up.”
- “If I slowed down, everything would fall apart.”
- “I should be further ahead by now. What’s wrong with me?”
- “Everyone else seems to be handling life better than I am.”
Sound familiar?
Here’s the truth: Thoughts aren’t facts. They’re only stories. And when you stop to challenge them, you create space for clarity, truth, and the possibility to move forward without self-doubt hijacking your potential.
One powerful first step? Get curious.
Pause and ask yourself: “What else is true?”. Slowing down to explore the counterevidence is key: focus on the proof that already exists but often gets overlooked when we rush through life.
By training your brain to shift focus, you’ll begin to see truths and opportunities right in front of you. It’s remarkable how this simple shift can lead to clarity, calm, and a renewed sense of energy.
This is one of many tools that helps me (and so many others) break the cycle of negative thoughts and reclaim focus.
